This is what love is:
My father drove 3 ½ hours down to college so he could get loads and loads of me and Bekah’s stuff to bring back home. When he arrived, neither of us had finished packing although we were supposed to be done by the time he got there. He didn’t complain, but just took box after heavy box down to the van down two flights of stairs as I sat in my room and finished packing. The last time he came up he was wet from the rain and sweating…it was quite a bit after 11 (by which he had planned to leave), and he had a meeting in Lancaster at 3 (which he would probably be late for.) he took one last box down to the now full to overflowing van, kissed me goodbye and left. He never complained and never got grumpy. He told me later that he went straight to the meeting form school and arrived 2 minutes early.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
