Fables

I’m proving myself fallible over and over again. For each step forward, two steps back, somehow missing the moral in the fable. And the fable plays out in my life, over and over, screaming its truth in a language I cannot understand. Maybe I wouldn’t have the strength to accept in anyway. So I tiptoe through my wonderland on the wrong side of the looking glass, because I flinch at the touch of the hands that would guide me home.

Mark 8:18
Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember?
