i like when jesus refers to this in regards to those who were shocked that he would eat with outcasts, and responds, “go and find what is meant by the Scripture that says, ‘it is kindness that i want, not animal sacrifice.” (matt 9:13). i’m guessing this is the Scripture verse he meant?
